Relocation Policy
J Ford asks:
I'm considering purchasing a new home in northeast Florida - portland cement based stucco over frame. The builder indicated the stucco was mixed with a product called "elastin or elastic or similiar" as a color sealant. In his spec sheet he used the word synthetic. Should I be concerned? My company's relocation policy prohibits a home purchase with any type stnethic stucco.

Thanks!

Answer from Tommy:
The concern with synthetic is that it does not allow the wall to breath even on a Portland base. This is a big problem in Florida. You may want to look for another house.
